Compliance Policies (Housing) Feedback
Overview
We're reviewing six of our key housing policies and want your help to ensure they are clear, accessible, and reflect the needs of our tenants, leaseholders and shared owners.
This survey invites you to comment on:
- Fire Safety
- Lift Safety
- Water Hygiene
- Gas and Heating Safety
- Electrical Safety
- Asbestos
Each policy is available to download and read, within the survey.
You’re welcome to respond to all six policies or just the ones that interest you. Each section is clearly labelled and entirely optional. Each policy will take approximately 10 minutes to read and review.
Please review the policies before answering. Each policy can be read within the survey, or downloaded and printed first.
Why your views matter
At Winchester City Council, we believe our housing policies should reflect the needs, experiences and voices of the people they affect. That’s why we’re asking you - our tenants, leaseholders and shared owners - to help us make sure these policies are clear, fair and accessible.
Your feedback will directly influence how these policies are finalised before they are presented to the Cabinet Committee for Housing. This is part of our commitment to the Consumer Standards set by the Regulator of Social Housing, especially around Transparency, Influence and Accountability, and Safety and Quality.
By providing your feedback in this survey, you’re helping us co-produce better services - services that work for real people, in real homes. Whether you spot something confusing, notice a missing detail, or simply want to tell us what works well, every response helps us build policies that are more inclusive, understandable, and tenant-led.
We really value all feedback and suggestions. Where your input does not lead to a change in the final policy, we will let you know why. This helps us work in an open and transparent way, and ensures you understand how decisions have been made.
