Overview

Housing Improvement Workshops – Book Your Place

Our Housing Improvement Workshops give you the opportunity to share your experiences and help shape and help shape our housing services.

Each workshop focuses on a different aspect of housing, from repairs and maintenance to neighbourhood safety and tenancy services. The sessions are informal, interactive, and open to all tenants, shared owners, and leaseholders

The Housing Improvement Workshops are designed to be participatory dynamic, and tenant-led, ensuring that your voice shapes real improvements in our housing services. Each session follows a structured format to make sure everyone has the opportunity to contribute:

  1. Introductions – A chance for all attendees to introduce themselves.

  2. Service Update – A senior officer from the relevant area of the housing department provides an update.

  3. Review of Actions & Outcomes – We go over any progress made since the last workshop.

  4. Participatory Activity – A hands-on discussion or activity focusing on a key housing issue related to the workshop theme.

  5. Tenant-Led Voting – Attendees vote on the main focus for the next session, ensuring that discussions remain relevant to attendees' priorities.

  6. Evaluation – A short reflective exercise to capture feedback and improve future sessions.

By structuring the workshops this way, we create a collaborative space where tenants, shared-owners and leaseholders directly influence the key priorities for the Housing Improvement Workshops.

Why your views matter

Your voice is essential in shaping the future of our housing services.

By taking part in the Housing Improvement Workshops, you have a direct opportunity to influence how we deliver your services. These workshops are a space for open discussion, collaboration, and problem-solving between tenants, shared-owners, lease holders and housing officers. We want to make sure that lived/ living experiences and concerns drive meaningful improvements.

The outcomes of each workshop don’t just stay in the room. A summary of key actions and decisions is shared with all attendees via email within two weeks of the final workshop that month. These outcomes are also published on our website, making them accessible to all tenants. Additionally, TACT Board representatives present the key takeaways at the next Board meeting, ensuring that tenant feedback is heard at the highest level.

Your participation ensures that real tenant voices shape housing services, so if you want to make a difference, this is your opportunity to be involved. Join us and help build a better, more responsive housing service for all.
