Woodman Close and Stockwell Place - Update to Estate Improvements Proposal
Overview
Further to the consultation I would like to take this opportunity to thank those that returned their responses. The feedback received was helpful in considering how this proposal should move forward.
Having reviewed the comments/suggestions provided, there was support for creating communal parking on the green, with the consensus of opinion being for layby parking. We did not receive enough feedback regarding the improvements to Stockwell Place to make an informed decision on this. With regard to the installation of Electric Vehicle charging points, the Council will not be progressing with this at this time, but may revisit this in the future.
The Parish Council met to discuss the proposals, and are keen to ensure that any works carried out will benefit all residents and address all the issues with communal parking in the area, where possible.
Based on this, we are proposing a revised plan for the green, which is an amalgamation of the original two options, and we are still considering progressing with the plans to improve Stockwell Place.
Woodman Close
This is a combination of end-on and layby parking around the green, which will provide a total of 27 parking bays.
Stockwell Place
This includes refreshing of the white lining of the existing bays and provides an additional 7 new bays.

What happens next
The consultation closes on Friday 20th November 2020. If we do not hear from you by this date we will assume that you are happy for the works to proceed as outlined in the proposal.
The responses will be reviewed and a proposal agreed based on the most preferred option. We will contact Residents informing them of an approved plan, in due course.
At this stage, we are unable to specify exactly when this work will take place, but we will keep you informed of developments as they occur.
