Fire Safety Policy
This policy explains how Winchester City Council keeps tenants safe from the risk of fire in their homes and shared communal areas. It sets out the checks, maintenance, and safety measures we carry out - such as keeping fire doors, alarms and escape routes in good working order - and how we respond quickly to any fire safety concerns. Our aim is to prevent fires wherever possible, protect lives and property, and make sure everyone knows what to do if a fire does happen.
