We asked

We asked for the opinions of Winchester City Council Tenants on using online surveys as another way of collecting tenant views, and whether receiving an incentive would increase engagement.

68 of the respondents received a further email responding to their request for more information regarding being an Involved Tenant.

A focus group to investigate the possibility of a reward scheme is being organised.

Future online consultations with tenants are in the pipe line.

Overview

Under the Housing Act 1985, councils must give tenants an opportunity to have their say before changes are made to services, policies and programmes.

Your time to complete this short survey will be greatly appreciated. There are 11 questions and shouldn’t take more than a few minutes. Your response will help steer the way your council encourages tenant participation.

Why your views matter

Tenant Involvement in Winchester, at the moment, is mainly through meetings. While this approach has been shown to work for some people, for others it maybe a barrier to being involved. This is being looked into to make it easier for you to have your say on the decisions that affect you. Online surveys are an alternative that is being explored.

We would like to know what you think about the proposals for online tenant involvement.

Please give us your views by completing the online survey below by Friday 7th September 2018.

As a thank you for taking part in this survey, we would like to offer a randomly selected Winchester City Council tenant a £50 ‘Love2Shop’ shopping voucher for participating & submitting their details.
